3K - $51K a year 19 hours ago 19 hours ago 19 hours ago TITLE Supply Chain Coordinator COMPANY Koyo Bearings DEPARTMENT 16 SHIFT 1st GRADE 5 Summary/Purpose This position will have responsibility for purchasing of direct materials for Cairo Plant.
Direct materials include Green Ring Unfin Retainers and Orings, Rocker Arm Components, Cage & Roll Strip, Solid Race components, and others.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Maintain high level of customer focus:
internal and external Purchase and monitor delivery of purchase components necessary for schedule completion.
o Work closely with Green Ring Suppliers o Provide timely releases for components o Provide priorities and expedite supply base when necessary o Review demand_prepare forecast Monitor Rocker Arm components and issue supplier releases to maintain Inventory Targets Purchase and monitor delivery of alloy Bar/Tube necessary for Green Ring production o Maintain appropriate levels of raw material to support supplier production o Procure acceptable substitutions when necessary_ability to interpret Prints for required clean up o Support inventory counts at suppliers Maintain appropriate on hand levels of strip raw material necessary for Cage and Roll, Rocker Arm, and FAB start areas o Provide releases to Worthington warehouse o Provide releases for slitter Coordinate with manufacturing departments on specific needs and help set priorities.
o Recognize impending shortages o Communicate and drive suppliers to negate shortages Work closely with Planners concerning customer demand and fluctuation o Monitor all levels of inventory:
Process Stock and Raw Material o Have strong understanding of inventory levels and lead times o Identity discrepancies and communicate to supervision Support ROI initiatives _ Reduction of Inventory_help meet Inventory Targets Participate and be active contributor in team activities o Quality concerns o New item launch o Production/Manufacturing/Supply chain changes o QC Circles Develop efficiency in Oracle and ASCP o Oracle purchasing and WIP modules Customer Support o Be primary contact for Ford o Train on Ford DDL, eDDL, & SuperG modules Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong computer skills o Use of Oracle, ASCP, and Customer portals ex:
Covisint, Ford DDL, and others o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task Must have strong, highly - motivated work ethic.
Advanced analytical skills Work in a Team Environment Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma 2-3 years experience in planning, scheduling, or purchasing preferred Work Environment/Physical Demands The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
