5K a year TITLE Furnace Operator COMPANY JTEKT Koyo Bearings DEPARTMENT 47 - Heat Treat LOCATION Cairo, Georgia SHIFT 2nd (2p-10pm) CLASSIFICATION Hourly GRADE 07 Summary/Purpose The Furnace Loader will be responsible loading/unloading parts into the furnace.
This will be done through the complete adherence of standard work documentation.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
Perform work in a systematic manner to ensure all steps are carried out in proper sequence.
Enter in cycle recipes into furnace instrumentation.
Operate furnaces, temper ovens and freezer Must perform as-quench hardness and know the proper procedures in case of power failures Record production results, traceability logs, and scrap as required.
Support departmental goals concerning housekeeping, safety, quality, cost, delivery and Standard Work/5s/Lean.
Work in teams to achieve departmental and company goals and objectives.
Perform related tasks as defined by the Department Supervisor.
Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries.
Maintain knowledge of current quality and safety system(s) and other regulatory compliance related to this position.

This position has an exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical parts, electrical power distribution and controls, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, steam distribution and generation, water, various types of lubricants, chemical and wash baths, extreme heat, mechanical machine operation, etc.
Will be regularly required to climb, stand, sit, and reach with hands, fingers, and arms.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required.
This position requires regular lifting of work up to 40 pounds, and push or pulling work up to 125 pounds with proper equipment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
