Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Georgia is a small nonprofit organization with locations in both Cairo and Thomasville, GA.
We are a fast-paced, engaging, customer-centric Youth Development organization.
Our goal is to positively impact the lives of teens while helping them reach their full potential.
Our work environment includes:
Safe work environment Lively atmosphere On-the-job training Youth Development Professional Duties:
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for teens to learn, grow, and develop.
- Plan and implement educational and recreational activities for teens.
- Assist with homework and provide tutoring support as needed.
- Teach and model positive behavior management techniques.
- Foster social-emotional development through engaging activities and discussions.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive program.
- Provide daily guidance to teens.
- Organize and lead dance, art, theater productions, sports coaching, and other various extracurricular activities.
- Ensure the well-being of all participants by following safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Experience working with teens in a professional setting.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques.
- Background in early childhood education, tutoring, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Passion for working with teens and helping them reach their full potential.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
- Must be available as early as 2:
30 PM each day Monday-Friday after school.
